Okay, this post has been long overdue. There are people trying to earn a living online that are under the following misconceptions. 1. It's easy. Let me take all 4 of these, one at a time, and inject some reality into this subject. Otherwise, the 95% failure rate is only going to get worse. 1. It's NOT Easy - There is so much involved with running your own business that if you knew what you were in for before you began, it would make your head spin and most likely would have you going back to your 9 to 5. Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. I recently had someone tell me they had to pay ebay more than they made last month. As you know, every month ebay sends you a bill for the auction fees you used through the month. But you should never have to give ebay more money than you made. You have to figure out every detail from shipping costs to final value fees. And then charge accordingly for each item you put up for auction. Ebay's auction fees have increased dramatically in the past 2 years. You have to cut corners and try and use as few amount of auction extras as possible. For instance bold print, highlighted print, subtitle are unneeded. Why pay extra for them when a gallery picture can bring the same results at a fraction of the price. I always use a gallery picture as the eye catcher to my auction. A catchy and original title along with a gallery picture will out sell any beefed up auction. ![]() Just when I thought there would be a rest from the silliness, the childish management at work gives me more first hand evidence of the ignorance, stupidity and wickedness of today's culture. This time it was the results from a questionnaire they gave us to fill out last year. It had questions on it such as, If you were stranded on a deserted island what 3 things/people would you want with you. And, what person dead or living would you like to spend a day with .... blah, blah, blah. They did not tell us who said what and now we're suppose to write down who we think said each statement. I'm simply amazed at some of the answers these people gave. Of course, some are typical of what you'd expect from unsaved people, but some of the answers of so-called "Christians" shows how phony and unbiblical they are. For example: read more » |
