I was drinking coffee with Ed on Saturday morning a little over a month ago, and I was complaining about my job again. (I'm an English teacher.) Ed turns straight to me and says, "Stop complaining. Anyone who still works to make ends meet is a fool in this day in age, and I don't like drinking coffee with fools."

"Ed," I replied a little offended, "just because YOU don't seem need a real job, doesn't mean the rest of us are so lucky."
