We had granddaughters overnight last night. I got to rock the 20 month old to sleep - while she put her little arms around my neck and patted my shoulder as we sang. My heart melted into a puddle. The almost three year old knows that she always gets to sleep with Grandma when she spends the night. It has become a bedtime ritual to get little mini-flashlights out and snuggle down in bed and then turn out the overhead light and turn on our flashlights. At first I would just say a word and she would point her light to that object in the room, like door, ceiling, closet, curtain, fan. . . Then she would point and I would say the word. That grew to playing flashlight tag with our lights. Now we sing songs and keep time with our flashlights as we swing our lights back and forth across the ceiling in time to the music. You know it never ceases to amaze me how many millions of dollars are spent on lottery tickets from people all over the world looking for that get rich immediately syndrome. I personally know some that spend up to $200 a week on this nonsense. Well, the states certainly appreciate it because it pays their bills! Come on.. what's your chances? Fact..in general 1 in 8 million! Not bad?! Or 401K's where, if it's worth while, you throw 1/4 of your paycheck at it? Friends, we all know the economy is failing. The government has no money and is losing millions daily. Many people can't afford to put gas in their car to go to work! Social Security will be gone very soon. This will all get worse before it gets better. Why not spend $50 to start your own business that will pay you good residual income for the rest of your life? Makes sense to me.
