How to Make Money

When I first thought about what I was going to write about for today’s post, I decided to write about one of the companies that I’m involved with. But then I received the following email.

Accounts Receivable Officer Needed

Hello,
We are offering this position (Accounts Receivable Officer) to  interested applicant.
Please carefully read through.

We serve the entire United States and a growing export market,
particularly in the supplies of selected products. Superior products
including Sofas & Love seats,Bedding Ensembles, Chairs & Ottomans.
We now sell our products in USA but having problems to how to
receive payments.

Your primary task for now,as a representative of the company is to
coordinate payments from customers and help us with the payments
processing.You are not involved in any sales for now.
Once orders are received and sorted we deliver the product to a
customer.After this has been done the customer has to pay for the
products but in most cases we make our clients prepay for orders
or items they ordered for. About 90 percent of our customers prefer
to pay through Bank/Wire Transfer from USA.

Because of the increasing number of clients, We have decided to open
this new contract -to-hire job position for solving this problem.

Your First Primary task (Collection of Payments):
1. Receive payment from our Customers or Clients.
2. Deduct 10% which will be your percentage/pay on Payment processed .
3. Forward balance after deduction of percentage/pay to any of the
offices you will be contacted to send payment to.

You'll have a lot of free time doing another job because this job is
part-time.You'll receive good income. Get back to us with the below
information so that we can add your mailing address to our regional
database and forward it to our customers for them to send payments.

Some of you may have received a similar email before, but I decided to talk about this for those of you who haven’t.

First off, this is a scam. One easy way to spot it is to look at the email address. If this person was really from Ashley Furniture, they would not be using a gmail account.

I actually tried something like this last year. I was unemployed and in need of money, so I took a chance. After I was signed up, they sent me an email stating that the first check was on the way to me. Then a couple of days later they asked me to go ahead and forward their share of the check to them. I then told them where they could shove their check.

I am all for making money on the internet. I don’t even mind the affiliate marketers that ensure my spam folder fills up. I know they’re trying to make a buck, and even though there are a few who stretch the boundary between truth and lies, most are doing it honestly and being truthful in their advertisements. What I can’t stand, However, are people who try to take advantage of others who may not be as net savy as they are. I posted this for the benefit of any and all who read this, and hope it helps keep you safe while you surf online.
