Working From Home...

The media claims working from home is a trend that is expected to continue growing for decades to come.  It's no secret that numerous companies, in an effort to cut costs, have been using low-wage workers in India, the Philippines and other low-cost countries for the past decade or so.

By hiring these homeworkers, companies are able to handle larger workloads while cutting costs in areas such as office rent, utilities, equipment, Workers' Compensation and Unemployment insurance, and general employee benefits.  Today's harsh economy creates a very competitive environment, where companies have to provide the best quality and service; at the lowest cost possible..

However, due to bad the poor customer service quality, provided by overseas virtual employees, companies are beginning to use US homeworkers to provide services such as virtual customer service, data entry, website development and virtual assistance...to name a few.

As the costs associated with running big business continues to rise the need for home-workers becomes greater. An estimated 51% of US major companies today employ home-workers.   Unfortunately, finding the companies that are hiring is a very difficult task.  Most if not all of these companies do not advertise their openings.

Taking into consideration the current economic status, should the companies hiring homeworkers advertise their openings on newspapers, TV and the internet?
